Morningdew Jasper Rare Stone

Morningdew Jasper – Rare Stone From Eastern of Indonesia

Azmi Faizal Fahri

Morningdew Jasper was discovered about a year ago, in 2024, when we received exciting news from a local miner on one of Indonesia's most exotic eastern islands. They had discovered a new type of jasper with a unique polka-dot pattern and stunning blue-green and yellow-green colors.

Morningdew Jasper intrigued and interested me, so I immediately asked them to send me some rough samples so I could examine and cut them myself in our workshop.
When the stones finally arrived, I couldn't wait—I cut the first slab and was completely blown away by what I saw.
The colors and patterns were unlike anything I had ever seen before.

“This is a new discovery!” I shouted in excitement as I looked at the first polished face.

As a lapidarist, I shared my excitement with my friend Aerik (Be.Here.Now), a fellow lapidarist from the United States.
He was equally impressed and asked me to send him some slabs to study and cut as well.

After he received them, we began discussing what name would best represent this new Jasper.
Aerik first suggested “Sundew Morning Jasper”, inspired by the Sundew flower glistening with morning dew.
It was a poetic name that truly reflected the stone’s natural charm.
A few days later, he proposed a simpler version — “Morningdew Jasper” — elegant, memorable, and easy to recognize.
We both agreed instantly.

When we finally started cutting and polishing this stone into cabochons, we decided to share it with a wider audience on social media.
The response was incredible — collectors and stone enthusiasts loved its dreamy colors and organic patterns.
Before long, Morningdew Jasper became a favorite among many gemstone lovers worldwide.

However, its beauty comes with rarity.
This stone is extremely difficult to mine, as it occurs in challenging and risky terrain.
That’s why every piece of Morningdew Jasper is truly special — limited, authentic, and full of character.

We’re proud to have been part of this discovery — a stone that tells a story of nature’s artistry, passion for lapidary, and friendship across continents.
